Selon journal sportif espagnol Marca, l'OL aurait proposé 15M€ au Racing Santander pour s'attacher les services du défenseur central, Ezequiel Garay (21 ans). Le club français serait en concurrence sur ce dossier avec Tottenam qui aurait proposé bien moins (10M€). Le joueur, en contrat jusqu'en 2011, a une clause libératoire à hauteur de 20M€.
